About Consultwise

What is Consultwise Directory?

Consultwise is a reviewed business directory and growth workspace for customers, freelancers, businesses, organizations, and agencies.

Read guide

Consultwise Directory helps people discover reviewed businesses and independent professionals. Customers can browse listings, save favorites, leave reviews, and request quotes. Freelancers can publish service profiles. Businesses can create directory listings and use growth tools for profile quality, website visibility, content, reputation, leads, competitors, keywords, local SEO, and AI visibility. Organizations manage multiple owned businesses, while agencies manage client portfolios. Listings are reviewed by an editor before publication, and verification is a separate trust status.

Getting started

Create your account and choose the right path

Customers and freelancers can start free. Single businesses, organizations, and agencies choose a growth plan before continuing.

Read guide

Choose Customer to browse, save, review, and request quotes. Choose Freelancer to publish a professional services profile. Choose Single Business for one company, Multiple Businesses for an organization that owns several companies, or Agency when managing client businesses. Paid account types continue to Growth Plans before their workspace setup.

Listings

Create and complete a business listing

Add the required identity, category, location, contact, services, and media details before review.

Read guide

Open Create and select Business. Complete the business name, category and subcategory, description, website, email or phone, service location, logo, and core services. Submit the listing for editorial review. Track it from My submissions.

Listings

Understand review, verification, and publishing

Publishing and verification are separate quality controls.

Read guide

Published means the listing is visible in the directory. Verified means Consultwise completed the separate verification review. A listing must have its required category and logo before approval. Draft or pending submissions do not appear publicly.

Billing

Plans, subscriptions, and billing

Manage paid business, organization, and agency plans securely through Stripe.

Read guide

Growth Plans apply to Single Business, Multiple Businesses, and Agency accounts. Customers and freelancers can create free accounts. Use the subscription page to choose a monthly or annual plan, complete Stripe checkout, view billing state, or open the Stripe billing portal.

Workspace

Use the Business Intelligence workspace

Improve directory completeness, website SEO, content, reputation, leads, and AI visibility.

Read guide

The workspace recommendations cover both the Consultwise listing and the connected public website. Each recommendation states its area. Add target pages to tracked keywords, connect supported providers for measured rankings, and complete profile data for directory discovery.

Workspace

Record backlinks and brand mentions

Use Backlinks & Mentions to record and monitor public evidence of links, citations, and press coverage.

Read guide

Yes. In a business Business Intelligence workspace, open Backlinks to add public evidence. Enter the source or publication name, the public source URL, the evidence type, and an optional authority score. This records an existing backlink, brand mention, citation, or press item for the business; it does not automatically create, buy, or place a backlink on another website. Agencies can use the same workspace for authorized client businesses. For new backlink placements, use a suitable Marketplace opportunity when available, then record the delivered public URL as evidence after publication.

Marketplace

Buy or publish through the Marketplace

Organizations and agencies can request placements; approved publishers can fulfill orders.

Read guide

Marketplace buyers submit a request against an available opportunity. Publishers create an approved profile and opportunities. Orders move through acceptance, checkout, draft, revision, delivery, and review. Use the order conversation for all fulfillment communication.

Integrations

Connect analytics and business integrations

Connect Search Console, Analytics, Business Profile, CRM, and webhooks from workspace settings.

Read guide

Only connect accounts you are authorized to manage. Connection cards show status and health. Reconnect an expired integration and run a health check. Never paste API secrets, passwords, payment card details, or authentication codes into support chat.

Account & security

Protect and recover your account

Use password recovery and two-factor authentication; report suspicious access immediately.

Read guide

Use Forgot password on the sign-in page for account recovery. Employees should use two-factor authentication. Never share passwords, recovery codes, one-time codes, Stripe secret keys, or integration credentials. Request a human immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

Support

Create and track a support ticket

Use AI for immediate guidance or create a ticket for a human support specialist.

Read guide

Signed-in users can create a ticket from Help & Support or the dashboard. Choose a clear subject, category, and priority. Replies and status changes remain in one timeline. Ask the AI Support assistant for a human at any time to create an escalation.

Directory

Search, browse, save, review, and request quotes

Customers can discover businesses and professionals and take action from public profiles.

Read guide

Use search or Browse to explore published companies, categories, subcategories, freelancers, people, articles, events, and other directory content. Signed-in customers can save listings, leave a rating and review, and request a quote where the listing supports it. Reviews are moderated and only published reviews affect public ratings.

Profiles

Create and manage a freelancer profile

Freelancers can publish services, experience, portfolio information, and professional details.

Read guide

Choose Freelancer during signup to create a free account and profile in one flow. Complete the professional identity, service categories, biography, contact details, location or service area, portfolio, and offered services. Submitted profiles go through editorial review before public publication. Manage the profile from My submissions and the dashboard.

Getting started

Choose Customer, Freelancer, Business, Organization, or Agency

Each account path has a distinct purpose and destination.

Read guide

Customer is for browsing, saving, reviewing, and requesting quotes. Freelancer is for one independent professional profile. Single Business is for one company and its growth workspace. Multiple Businesses, also called an Organization, is for an owner managing several businesses. Agency is for managing client businesses that the agency does not own. Customer and Freelancer start free; Business, Organization, and Agency choose an applicable Growth Plan before completing paid setup.

Listings

Track drafts, submissions, revisions, and approvals

My submissions shows content status and provides editing or revision paths.

Read guide

New business listings, freelancer profiles, articles, press releases, and other submitted content may begin as draft or enter editorial review. Use My submissions to see status and edit eligible content. Editors can approve, request a revision, or reject a submission. Published content is publicly visible; verification remains a separate trust decision for applicable listings.

Organizations

Manage multiple businesses and team members

Organizations group owned businesses and allow controlled team collaboration.

Read guide

A Multiple Businesses account creates an organization for businesses under common ownership. Owners can link listings, invite teammates, and manage the organization workspace. Invitations are signed and seat limits may depend on the plan. Editors receive scoped access and cannot manage owner-only billing or invitations unless their permission allows it.

Agencies

Operate an agency client portfolio workspace

Agencies manage client listings, alerts, access, reports, integrations, and Marketplace work.

Read guide

The agency workspace provides a portfolio view across authorized client businesses, including health, alerts, leads, keywords, reviews, AI visibility, and overdue work. Owners can search and filter listings, limit an editor to selected client businesses, manage billing, configure integrations and notification preferences, generate reports, and open Marketplace when the plan includes access.

Agencies

Share client portals securely

Create expiring client links with revocation, controls, branding, and access audit history.

Read guide

Agency owners can configure portal branding and create an expiring share link for a specific client business. Sharing controls determine what the client can view. Links can be revoked immediately, and access is recorded in the audit history. Never place private credentials or internal-only notes in a client-facing report or portal.

Agencies

Generate reports and configure notifications

Create portfolio reports and control in-app and optional email delivery.

Read guide

Agency owners can generate an in-app portfolio report and schedule eligible reports. Notification preferences control in-app report alerts, alert digests, recipient email, and optional report email delivery. Delivery attempts and failures are tracked so an owner can see whether a notification was sent successfully.

Workspace

Run website SEO and technical audits

Crawl the connected public website and identify explainable technical and on-page issues.

Read guide

Website SEO tools inspect the connected public website for accessible pages, titles, descriptions, headings, canonical signals, robots and sitemap information, and other explainable technical or on-page checks. The audit does not claim private analytics or rankings. Fix recommendations on the website, then rerun the audit to refresh the baseline.

Workspace

Turn recommendations into trackable tasks

Create tasks from opportunities and manage their progress in the workspace.

Read guide

Business Intelligence recommendations identify explainable improvement opportunities. Create a task from an opportunity, assign its workflow status, and update progress as work is completed. Recommendations are evidence-based priorities, not guarantees of rankings, revenue, or search-engine outcomes.

Workspace

Build a competitor website watchlist

Compare public competitor website baselines without inventing external ranking claims.

Read guide

Add a competitor name and public website URL in the Competitors section. Consultwise can analyze supported public technical and on-page signals for comparison with the business website. It does not infer private traffic, revenue, conversion, or unsupported search rankings. Remove or refresh competitors from the same watchlist.

Workspace

Track keywords and assign target pages

Manage keyword intent, target URLs, provider metrics, and opportunity status.

Read guide

Add a keyword manually or generate suggestions, then assign the most relevant public target page. Pause or remove keywords that are not useful. Ranking and metric fields require a supported connected provider; without one they remain clearly marked as not connected or not checked. Suggested is a source label, not a ranking result.

Workspace

Track AI-search prompts and mentions

Monitor buyer questions where the business should appear when an answer-engine provider is connected.

Read guide

AI Search lets a business create prompt groups and buyer questions such as local service discovery queries. Results remain Not checked or unscored until a supported answer-engine provider is connected and a check runs. The tool must not fabricate mentions or imply that a business appears in an AI answer without provider evidence.

Workspace

Improve answer-engine readiness

Strengthen FAQs, structured data, services, locations, and focused pages for answer engines.

Read guide

AEO readiness checks whether the business has useful answered FAQs, FAQ structured data, Organization or LocalBusiness schema, at least three named services, complete service location, focused service pages, a descriptive summary, and an available website crawl. Recommendations are actionable checklist items; completed checks are evidence, not a guarantee of inclusion in an answer engine.

Workspace

Manage local SEO and citation evidence

Create a citation checklist and record verified directory consistency.

Read guide

Local SEO tools help review major local and business directories. Create a citation checklist, then verify each public entry and record whether business name, address, phone, URL, and other applicable details are consistent. Entries begin unverified. Consultwise records evidence; it does not claim a third-party listing was created or corrected unless that action actually occurred.

Workspace

Monitor reputation and review activity

Use published Consultwise reviews and recorded public reputation evidence responsibly.

Read guide

Reputation tools summarize supported review and rating information and identify practical follow-up work. Public company ratings use published reviews only. Do not treat pending or rejected reviews as public evidence. External review data requires an appropriate integration or recorded public source.

Workspace

Manage leads and quote requests

Business owners can review authorized requester details and update lead status.

Read guide

When a customer requests a quote, the eligible business owner can view the request and supplied contact information in the authorized dashboard, then update the workflow status. Other users cannot access the request. Use the request only for the customer’s stated business inquiry and follow applicable privacy requirements.

Content

Create business articles with AI Article Studio

Research, draft, improve, and submit an SEO-ready article through an editorial workflow.

Read guide

Eligible businesses can open AI Article Studio, choose a keyword or question, create a draft, refine quality, add an image, and submit the article for review. Allowances depend on the business or active plan, with applicable free or monthly allocations. Draft generation does not publish directly for ordinary accounts; editorial review protects content quality.

Content

Create and publish a press release

Draft business news, prepare media assets, complete any required payment, and submit for review.

Read guide

A linked business can create a press release for genuine company news, launches, events, or announcements. Complete the release details and media assets, follow the applicable payment flow, and submit it for editorial review. Do not use the tool for fabricated claims or misleading announcements.

Content

Understand jobs, events, people, and expert content

Consultwise supports additional reviewed public content beyond company listings.

Read guide

The directory can publish job postings, events, people or expert profiles, Consultwise Blog posts, business-authored Articles, and press releases when those modules are enabled and the content passes its workflow. Public pages separate Consultwise editorial Blog material from Articles submitted by businesses, freelancers, and guest contributors.

Marketplace

Become a Marketplace publisher

Create a publisher profile, complete verification and payout onboarding, then offer approved opportunities.

Read guide

A signed-in user can submit a Marketplace publisher profile and accept the applicable terms. The profile begins pending until approved. Verified publishers can create opportunities describing the publication or placement, requirements, timing, and price. Stripe Connect onboarding may be required before receiving payouts.

Marketplace

Complete a Marketplace order safely

Orders follow acceptance, checkout, draft, revision, delivery, review, dispute, and monitoring stages.

Read guide

An entitled organization or agency submits a request for an approved opportunity. The publisher can accept and the price is snapshotted before checkout. Participants use the private order conversation, exchange a draft, request revisions, deliver a public URL, and complete review. Eligible problems can enter dispute handling. Delivered paid publication URLs may be monitored for availability and the promised target link.

Billing

Understand checkout, coupons, and payment status

Stripe handles subscription and eligible content or Marketplace payments.

Read guide

Consultwise uses Stripe checkout for configured paid plans and eligible purchases. A coupon must be active, within its validity window, and under any redemption limit. Subscription activation occurs only after a verified Stripe event. Past-due or canceled states are displayed in account management. Never send payment card details through support chat.

Account & security

Manage privacy and account data

Review privacy controls and use authorized account tools for export or deletion workflows.

Read guide

The dashboard privacy section provides the account’s available data controls. Access is scoped to the signed-in account. Deletion or export workflows must follow the confirmation and retention rules shown by the application. Public contributed content may have different editorial or legal retention treatment than private account records.

Account & security

Verify email and use two-factor authentication

Email verification protects account ownership; employee administration requires stronger authentication.

Read guide

New accounts receive an email verification link and can request another from the verification notice page. Password recovery is available from sign in. Employee administration uses a separate employee account and two-factor setup or challenge; a customer account cannot gain admin access through a leftover role value. Never share a one-time code or recovery secret with support.

Keep your account safe

Support will never ask for secrets

Do not send passwords, payment card numbers, API keys, recovery codes, or one-time authentication codes in chat or tickets.
